Am1w, you've mentioned a few times about the R's boot being a poor size. Is it really that bad? Is there stuff you carry that you wouldn't get in an R?

Bikes and scooters for 3 kids ages 6, 4, 2.5 years + my own sh!t!

i honestly wouldnt say there is that much difference. to give you some kind of idea, if you add about 2inches to the bottom of your boot that gives you some kind of idea how much less space it offers. alothough saying that it does then offer a flatter load space when the rear seats are down.

To update this thread. I've decided not to use the GTI for a week, perhaps longer so that I can climatise to a slower car. Then hopefully when I jump back in it I can enjoy the performance again.

I drove a Polo for a total of 3 weeks and a Pug 1007 for another 2 weeks when Wolfgang was in hospital for his uncustomary love-ins + rear end botox.

When I got him back, I felt I was going no faster, but noticed fewer cars around me! Looking into the rear view mirror, they were distant specks!

Wow, Wolfgang is so fast and so refined.
I ask you, what more can a man ask of his trusty stead?
