Engine Temp

Hi Guys

bit of advice please, and i have done a search and couldnt really find much on my problem i have if it is one.

My engine temp only gets to 90 when the car is ticking over. When i drive it the temp goes down and only rises when i stop with the engine ticking over?

should i be worrried about this?

cold air goes through the radiator when driving therefore cooling the engine, when sitting idle there is no cold air flowing hence the temp rise.

Replace your thermostat

Car temp should sit bang on 90 degree once up to temperature

mine goes below 90 when driving at 70mph for a while

Hmmm well I just changed my coolant sensor a couple of weeks ago cause there was a fault. I would have thought that, when driving at speed the cool air would cool the engine, only goes down to about 80ish

Nope should stay at 90

So if I've changed the sensor, any suggestions? I ain't cleared the code since putting in the new sensor, my mate cleared it after he found it, but no doubt it's came back since then cause I waited at least a month before gettin the sensor. If the code ain't cleared would the fault still be causing a problem?

To be fair, neuspeed sell a lower stat set at 80 so the engine maintains a cooler temperature......
