Bought a Momo Prototipo at Autosport Back at the beginning of Jan and it finally arrived last week. Got it fitted this morning.

Originally my plan for this year was to pop a 6 speed box and a Torsen diff in this and go Hillclimbing and sprinting. There's been a change of plan involving this:

It's not mine but it's going to cost me money and has resulted in me booking my ARDS for a full race licence. This means a trimming of the budget for doing stuff in my mx5 this year and while I'm gong to try and do plenty of speed events the 6 speed and diff are now certainly on the back burner.

More on the mk2 in the coming weeks.

Considering the number of cars there, there were some serious motors in attendance. (Was just flicking through your flickr)
It's a mk2. Fill it, drive it, enjoy it.

Yeah there's normally a pretty good turnout from the more exotic end at PH meets. It's nice to be able to see these cars up close and the owners are real petrolheads so have no worries about letting you have a sit in etc.

Anyoo the MX5's getting out and about a fair bit this week! Reading Jap Meet:

I've been running the standard manifold since charging it and recently it's been blowing from the collector. Picked up a Trust 4-2-1 stainless from an MX5 breaker and fitted it up today with homemade heat blanket to keep some of the heat away from the charger.

Sounds much deeper now and seems to have a bit more mid range torque.
