Your golf could be running 350bhp with the amount of money uve spent on crap imo lol.
Seriously why dont u start tuning it makes the car 1000times more fun when you have that yard of extra pace.

Now here is a guy who flapped his car and is removing them for Kev to buy and enjoy his sloppy seconds!

I don't know who you are addressing, but my car is fast enough for me. I don't want 350 bhp and I will leave this to you with great generosity.

350hp in a FWD hatchback? Er, no thanks. The 275hp stage one tune is already too much, IMO.

I did the best part of 62k miles in my Mk5 ED30 running stage 2+ (dyno'ed at 363bhp) and it's was a perfectly civilized car when you wanted it to be and an animal when you didn't

It's all about the other mods you do with it, just leaving the suspension and brakes as stock and you will have a big problem

OK then, we'll agree on 'enough'. It is nice to have the power on tap, but I would trade 20 or 30hp for greater smoothness on the DSG 'box. A couple of years ago, I had a BMW 330d and that was remapped to give about the same hp as my GTI, but being RWD meant it was far more usable (and its 'proper' auto box was way better than the DSG...). Just my €2

Ooops, drifting off topic here. Good job it's my own thread

I sit in my GTI and think its slow to be brutally honest. even with the remap. It wont be long till my tight arse pays for a new exhaust and take mine up to stage 2, Even then ill be happy for a month or so then ill be bored again, At which point ill be looking at a bigger turbo, Or a new car

Mate, you are driving the wrong car... +300bhp in a fwd -  not for me.

I am a believer in keeping cars standard, if you want faster why didn't you just buy a stock car with 400+bhp (v8m3, c63amg etc...) that can  use the power? Rather than maxpowering up a GTI?

Back to topic!
Froggy, the unit is a Pioneer active sub-woofer which costs approx £250, I think. It will be mostly invisibly mounted in the front passenger footwell. Will know more week after next.
