Think you're going to be out of luck there.  The 8V G3 GTI, which has an 020 box uses a larger input shaft than the G2 GTI, so if you've used a G2 gearbox and a G3 8V GTI clutch you're not going to have any drive.

Why aren't you using the 16V cable-shift gearbox?  Unless you've bolted the 020 diff you're going to have a failed gearbox on your hands shortly.

Have you re-lined the brake system with new hard lines?  If so, have you fitted a compensator on the rear beam?

If not, you'll need one.  If you've not finished to system I'd recommend wiring it up different to standard, with a manual bias valve and with the front brakes on separate ports out of the master cylinder.

Time to get all that trim out now
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

the box was out of the 8v mk3 i had havent used the 16v box as need to find a pedal box from a corrado or passat

was goin to fit manual compensator iether in the car or under the bonnet just got to find one

i take it the brake are split at the mo then one hole on master does one side and other hole does other side ?

Should be split diagonally from corner to corner as standard
