Bluetooth in MY11 GTI Works with IPhone !

Hi all i have read these boards for a while now.

Yesterday i collected my new GTI  and to my amazement the Premium Bluetooth works fine with my IPhone 4. It was built in week 24 and UK spec.

Just thought i would give you all a heads up as surely this spells the end to the farce whice is/was rSAP.

Its not premium bluetooth but just as good if you reach under the drivers seat and look for at the black box in the foam case the part number will be 7P6 035 730C which is a new module VW brought out to keep every one happy,

They still do an actual premium module which has a few more features on than what you have there,

Is the premium one still only RSAP or does it now work with all phones?

I specced this on my order in June as it seemed the only option for bluetooth now according to the brochure.
I want it to work with the IPhone aswell so am hoping its the right one

That issue only affects the old 729B unit in the Mk5's Steve.

My 729E unit and the newer 7P6 unit I have on order both work fine with the iPhone on IOS4

Hi Chaps, where can I get one of these new Bluetooth units to replace the premium unit I have? I've asked the local vw garage and they want about £400.

I have one on Order and will be able to confirm what changes are required to fit the new version over the top of the existing premium rsap Bluetooth.

I can already tell you it's going to cost less than £400 plus you can sell your old module for at least £100.
