Nope Erik Van Voorst I do want the power on mine. I had meant in the Original post that we would discuss factory options... which has maybe led people not to discuss maps etc.

I think that everyone with maps will get them again. I am running the car without the map just now and can't wait to get it back on. The standard car is fine but the map always makes you smile. It's not so much the hp I like but the torque

....yeah okay....on the other hand isn't it a pity that the factory does not spec things like optional exhaust/intake/brakes/turbos/remaps....it saves us lot sooooooooo much money...

If you could go back to the point of ordering your car, would you do anything differently?
Yes not order it.
VW factory delivery time is a joke. VW are a joke. VW quality is a joke. VW customer service is diabolical and i still have an outstanding case with them they are pissing about with.
(If VWcs don't pull their finger out their arse this will be any of my families last VW)

What would you change
Well if i had ordered i would have liked the extras i wanted to add but was messed about for 3 months by dealer wayside , even though VW said it was easy to add the extras and not a problem at that stage, VWcs even said at the time to chear me up because of the delay they liked the idea of me adding them!

I ended up with quite a basic spec compared to many here of a 5 door, blue, sunroof, xenons.

I would have added if the dealer had not been a dick and bothered their arse! after months of emails and phone calls from me

ACC,
Parking sensors (something i really wish i had due to the shape of the mk6) ,
Cruise control,
Luxury pack,
Tire pressue sensor.

I can live without all these extra options and have done and not really missed them except the parking sensors i do miss not having them..

I would not buy a Sat Nav+Bluetooth. I would, therefore, not have had the prang.
Technology is titts-up.

Sorry again Penguin for the hijack. But I am in mourning at present and need lots of sympathy and understanding.

Mmm, I think if there was a '50hp' extra box it would be the first one ticked by anyone ordering. But as for cost. I think these things are cheaper aftermarket, how much do you think VW would charge for a factory remap? More than Revo, not as much as ABT would be my guess.

Poor poor little persian prince let me wipe away those tears.  Do you promise me it was your sat nav you were playing with  Is it that confusing this RNS510? do you think I may live to regret changing from my RCD510 which is so simple to operate?

Truly I am sorry for the damage that you have inflicted on poorWolfgang let's hope the stealers can make him good as new again.

All the best

If I had to do it again I would order my Golf GTI at the BMW Dealers.....that would be a laugh...their service is outstanding.
I have yet to meet a proper dealer VW garage and I've met quite a few....

The service dept of my VW dealership is outstanding. Must be a first!
The Warranty Manager is Czech, very, very beautiful, very knowledgeable and totally helpful.
Service Manager and team are top quality and the mechanics are really in a league of their own.
Very impressed so far.
Sales team: yuck.

So yes, I would buy another VW, but from another dealership and get it serviced at mine.
