help - engine sounding really rough

Started the car today and it sounds really rough, can feel it too, opened the bonnet and the engine is noticeably wobbling around. Could it be the timing belt has slipped or something?

Get it hooked up to a code reader and see if anything shows up there.

Twenty quid well spent, unless you want to pay your friendly VW dealer over the odds each time you get them to do it for you

The manual that comes with gives a short description of each code or you could search here for the code or Google it on Ross Tech.
