cheers man. interior is almost back together. i say almost as i have lost half of the fixings for the door handles and the rubber strip on the 0/s/r doof
Oh god youve got me thinking now!..... i bet i come a cropper too.. i started off really carefully but it soon piles up!

i thought i was careful! got most of them and i have my suspicions that the rubber strip has been liberated for someone else's car...

but i cant go around accusing people of stuff.
while mine was away all those years, parts went vanishing!  doo lock pin, headlight bulb retaining clip, side trim, pillar trim.  I cant say owt either!

Cars looking ace!

Sorry to hi-jack, did the car fail the MOT because of stretched tyres? :undecided:

dont consider that a jikack dude.

the tyres were one of the fail points. i could have argued the point but it was far easier to stick some mk2 wheels and tyres on.

on the fail sheet it gave the reason as "tyres incorrectly mounted" and "tyre interferring with bodywork"

the tyre wasnt catching the body, it was the rim itself!

as for being mounted incorrectly, the bead is sitting in the right place and as the  tyre fitter says, if it isn't mounted properly then it wouldnt hold air or suipport the weight of the car.

anyway the issue is that particular tester failed it. it has made me a lottle nervous about running it as it is though...

Ah right fail play dude, guess I will have to find somewhere not so strict for my MOT to be on the safe side then!

I'm mot sure i can live with these wheels. Secre are catching the arch trim and the 205 40 tyres are giving a harsh ride. I love the look but could do with 8's on the rear. Only trouble is all the 8's i've seen are et40 so the outer face of the wheel will be in about the same place.

What i really want are some borbet or azev a's in 7 and 9 x 16. Or bbs rs...

Other than the stink from the heater matrix i'm happy

not really sure chris. more dead hamster smell.

the carpets are not getting damp and it hasnt used any water so i am starting to think it is something else to be honest.

does the screen mist up when you slide the heater control to 'hot' and switch the fan on?

lol @ sam sharing the love

sounds like you've got a small weep from the heater matrix 2 ways to fix it:

-dash out and change matrix
-chuck some k-seal in the cooling system

Mine was doing the same as yours, so i k-sealed it and it worked a treat :afro: No trouble now for around 2 months
