Hi Dave,

Got your email and have replied.

Being 100% honest it's looking like there is an early batch of Mk6's with a BCM (central Electrics controller) that is not able to support the LED's properly.

If this is the case then I will, of course, offer a full refund.

If your able to meet me tomorrow (as per the details in the email) then I will be able to confirm this

Hmmm, we shall know tomorrow. I am so hoping it isn't so cos I will be gutted 

If that is the case then there is nothing I can do about it except save up like mad and buy a newer build car! LOL, and somebody else can enjoy the lights. They look so cool too 

Don't suppose it's possible to swap out the BCM for a newer version? Totally wishful thinking!!!!

^^ Yes the BCM can be swapped but it's around £200 IIRC 

I have been working on a cunning plan tonight so fingers crossed for the morning

Hmmm, £200 wouldn't be too bad if it would defo work - it's an alternative if your cunning plan is not quite cunning enough (don't want to jinx you)

that's interesting. Mine was a build week 25 I think, which is late June and a MY10 build. Mine have coded OK at byte 18 to 04. Maybe its a MY09 compatibility issue.

Steve, nice to meet you and thanks for your help yesterday and I'm chuffed to bits that my lights are all working. Now we just gotta sort out the dash problem.

Any chance you could find out the part number for the BCM that I would need to get to replace my existing one - should it come to that! My be worthwhile calling a few breakers yards to see if there are any floating around out there as Mike suggested. Oh nice to meet you too Mike  hope your lights and remap are sorted out

For the record, finally found out the build date of my car which was 9th April '09
