Thanks Mike.

Just set it to 04 again and the lights are now working again but I still have the bulb out warning lights and error codes in VCDS. Also now get a message from the MFD telling me to check rear fog light as bulb is out and now the rear fog is not working  

To top it all it has now started to chuck it down so I'm afraid rain has stop play until tomorrow. Any other suggestions/remedies most appreciated.

Steve - I will try a reset as you describe tomorrow after I get home from work to see if that helps with the fog light.

The error codes were telling me that I had bulbs out in all the rear clusters.

When you first plug them in VCDS will show error codes on all parts of the lights, if you clear these codes what errors are you left with?

I have a set of lights from the same batch as both of yours here so I am going to test these today just to make sure it's nothing related to them.

If I install the light units without getting the coding done for a day or 2, will this mess anything up or will I just have 'bulb out' warnings?

I read that the computer can cut the power to certain lights if it thinks they are blown so I wouldn't fancy driving tonight with no lights

Steve, I have sent you an email.

For the record, the reset has fixed the lights not working issue and I have set byte 18 to 04 again and everything appears to be working okay apart from the error codes which I can't get rid off and my mfd is telling me to check the rear right fog light. Bulb out warning light is still present on the dash.

Being 100% honest it's looking like there is an early batch of Mk6's with a BCM (central Electrics controller) that is not able to support the LED's properly.

If this is the case then I will, of course, offer a full refund.

If your able to meet me tomorrow (as per the details in the email) then I will be able to confirm this

Darren is finally fitting my LEDs and RNS510 on Sunday, my car is from July 2009, do you think I may have this problem too?
