perfect size ?lowering springs ?
« on: 26 April 2010, 20:26 »
Hi all,

I'm considering to lower my car with springs and i am tempted to go with Eibach. but what's stopping me to buy the springs now is i want to know what is the perfect lowering for both rear and front without hitting those nasty street bums?
The place where i live got quite many those. I'm missing my country

you mean keep it factory ? yeah but actually i m going to put 18'' wheels on it and thought it might look better if lowered on springs than those factories.

lowering it on coilovers or springs doesnt mix with deep potholes. Its a nightmare  if the roads are bumpy with light holes ect, the ride isnt too bad. Its up too you, just remember if you go lower your ride will suffer !

The gti does need lowering though it looks far too high standard !

about 20mm is fine for me, although it does look better at 30ish

right thanks mate . actually i m referring to the street bumps on the road. just want to know how low do i have to lower my car without scratching my car's bumper while passing them lol.
I'm actually looking for Eibach springs for my Golf MK5 GTI (2005).

If someone can post me a link where they sell them i would appreciate it.
