any extra oomppff??
« on: 26 April 2010, 19:13 »
Guys, my old man is coming over from Oz in three weeks and he hasn't been in the car since the re-map. I have dropped a bottle of Forte treatment in, but what else can I do, or book in for, to give it any extra BHP it may be losing??  To give it a little tweak before he has a go?

thanks mate- i take it the turbo cleaner in question is this one? http://www.innotecworld.com/c-1064-turbo-clean-set.aspx  Did it make any difference you reckon?   I have checked and replaced a few clips a while ago, will have another look and see. can't afford a new exhaust now- am moving house this friday (aagghh!!) so all money (and a lot more) tied up in that.

That's the stuff :afro:

I find my car smokes a lot less since having done it - got another issue so can't really comment on its full benefit but others have had it done and comment that the engine is far more responsive

I know Steve did it on his and he hasn't (not to my knowledge) hit limp mode since.  Having been out in his car last week I can confirm its proper quick :afro:

Not much more you can do then apart from check fluid levels and tyre pressures etc

Also make sure your wheel alignment is spot on to aid cornering and sure-footedness
NOt much more you can do then

not really know unless you get a decent jack and axle stands

you need to remove the downpipe off the turbo as you inject the cleaner directly into it

Its an hour's labour

wise move   Make sure they replace the gasket between the turbo and downpipe - about £3 from the dealers
