Remember how many turns it takes to get it out as you'll have probs if you don't put it back in right, would also recommend ISV cleaned with carb cleaner, dry it then refit. ISV is the cylindrical thing on the right hand side of the inlet manifold. Has an electrical connection and two pipes connected to it.

+1 keep a rough idea of how many turns it takes to unscrew so that you can reset it approximately correctly after cleaning.  Cleaning of ISV is definately recommended too if you haven't already done it, but for me this actually caused my car's cold start problems...cleaning this screw then resolved them.

Just took the screw out, i wiped off some dirt from it ( black oily). should it be dirtier than this to cause stalling when cold?

My screw had perhaps less than 1mm of oily dusty crud on it.  Didn't seem like much, but cleaning it made all of the difference .  Best of luck

Lucky!. I cleaned mine, it didnt stall this morning but it fell to 800 rpm and then found its way up to 1100 where idle sits. Ive tried listening for buzzing couldnt find any? so maybe my isv is knackered?

I've been messing with this screw for weeks, mainly so it would run from cold, once it warms up ticked over at 1500rpm  so I'll keep playing and should get it right soon, think it should be around 850 to 900??? Is that right???
Thanks

Get yourself a Haynes manual

950rpm iirc
16vs idle slightly higher than their 8v bretherin

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.
