i got an idea, lets make a garage that doesnt overcharge, doesnt use crap bits (or reuse the old bits) and the mechanics have an idea about what they are doing. we could make a fortune  :)

it's a joke the way that dealer seems to have tried to just cover up the problem as cheaply as possible.

it's a shame that we do all seem to have trouble finding the good guys out there and why we end up travelling miles to see the few of them

That's bad enough >:( but my mate who does dent repairs goes to garages and fixes dents in new cars.

He's told me some horror stories of them sorting out really bad dents in roofs with filler and a quick spray, hoping that the customer won't notice for a while cos they're so pleased with a new car. >:( >:( Fu@king Outrageous

Charge a fortune to line their pockets and have swanky showrooms.

Some need to think about their customer service :P

Wherever I end up working in the country, one of the first things I do is find a local back street specialist, suggested by local VW enthusiasts. A good mechanic is worth his weight in gold.
I don't own this anymore - I just can't be arsed to change the picture

Gonna write a letter to VW about the incident, but I was planning to wait until the respray goes OK.

However this is not going to be for a couple of weeks, because all the courtesy cars are booked up.  Do you reckon I should write now (while I'm still angry), or do you think I should wait until it's all sorted?  (They might fook up the body-work, and then I can add that to the letter!).
