Hello All

I agree with all that has been said so far, but will stick with V Power or Tesco 99.
When looking to buy my Ed30 I looked at Honest John under "Whats Bad" for the Mk5 Golf and this is what he said about fuel...

FSIs are proving to be petrol sensitive. Best run on 99 Ron Shell V-Power Super. Head problems reported at 4 years old if not run on high octane petrol. May also suffer failed lambda probes (two at £200 each) and failed cat converters as a result.

This was enough to pursuade me that I had best cough up a bit more come filling up time, especially as I would like to keep the car for the foreseeable..
