Got started on the rad fan loom today. Slim lines mounted up fine and run fine. Need to get hold of a 2 pole rad fan switch for the radiator before I can test to make sure they kick in fine. Got to do a bit more fab work to get the radiator to mount to the front cross member and the front slam panel also.

Plugged in the interier looms again, clocks work, dipped and full beam, hazards, side lights, wipers and fogs all work fine.  Just need to test the brake pedel switch once i find that and the washer bottle.

Good days work today. Just waiting on that rad fan switch, them its all coming back out again and then the cosmetics really kick in.

how come you went for slim-line fans on the front of the rad? have you got clearance issues behind the rad?

I don't think a semi will give the same results

The slim lines went in front as I am tidying the bay. Its just so they are not on show, out of sight but still doing their job. The rad wont breath as well whilst on the move, but It should be fine.

As for the scuttle. It was knackered from when my old PB block went in and out about 5 times. The inlet manifold used to smash into it and it was bent and twisted. I figured Id just loose it and open the bay up. Kind of prefer it with out the scuttle pannel. It comes with its challenges though. No 1 is the spot welds. thingy of a job. haha , second is that rain water will just drop straight down the firewall so can get in through the rubbers that I am leaving there. So they will need to be sealed up. Next is water getting into the interior air intake. Haven't figures out how Im going to solve that yet, but Im not plating it over and removing it as I want fresh air in the cabin.
