Agreed its not really what Im after but great to see just for ideas. Maybe I can just put some sort of pollen filter in the housing? That should catch any stray water dripping down. Would need to be replaced fairly often....

Honestly mate your best option will be a removeable raised cover.. any type of filter is not likely to be waterproof and will perish quickly with english weather

Agreed it wont last long. How would you suggest mounting it then? remember I have no scuttle at all. I dont really want to be drilling mounting holes etc for it so would need to be something that can support its self.

Thinking about it, will it ever see water any way? The bonnet has no vents above that area from what I remember, so I might be able to get away with one completley? Maybe just silocone seal the hosuing to the firewall to stop any thing seeping down there...

Thats a good idea. Id need to be able to either have that made up or be able to fold a sheet piece of mettle my self.

got my 2 pole rad fan switch through today. tested and the fans kick in perfectly.  Pretty happy with that. Such a simple solution to that arse ache of a rad fan control unit. Getting closer to getting the engine out again.

You would make it your self. Just have to have a piece of sheet metel with to ends like a box, bend the two ends 90 degree, then bend them again 90 degree opposite way to mouint to scuttle. Then spray what colour desired. Job done. U could evan mod the old air vent by just cutting wing side out and plating over the meshed bit.

Good the fan switch works

Above seems a good idea.. or you could easily give a fabricators some rough dimensions and they could fab something up..

Wicked news on the Fan switch are they easy to wire in ??
