Small update from today. Got the rest of the welding done. So thats both rear quarter arches cut out and welded, all holes that I wanted welding up in the by (not many) and a couple of other little bits and bobs. (sorry thom, I completely forgot to get the make of the welder for you! As mentioned though, the clarkes are good)

Nearly finished with my sound proofing. I have only two sheets left so I need to keep those for my two remaining doors to sound deaden. That will be it for now as my sound gear will only be a small install for the remainder of the year with an addition of new speaker pods . Next year Il be looking at getting in touch with in car studio to figure out a cool little - but powerful setup. Wont be for a while yet though. At least the main arse ache is done.

Engine bay as it is now:

Any one in the london area want a small side project? Need my engine bay prepped for paint. I.e welds grounded back and smoothed off. Filler where it needs it. Then primer ready for paint.

Unsure if I want to attack this myself. As everyone always say, the results are in the prep.

Im not smoothing the bay at all mate. Its staying completely factory.
Its a case of grinding back the welds where a couple of holes have been filled, filling those in/ smoothing them off with filler. Then I guess just a case of primer and paint. Thats it - everything else I can do back on my drive again.

Very very simple, no more fabricating needed, maybe a little more grinding/cutting things off, but it should all be done already.

Started to order up all my stuff to start painting the bay. Trying to keep the costs down as I need to keep money together for a large purchase that will be with me in a week or two's time. Anoyingly I cant put it on the car untill ive finished painting the bay though.
