^ err...

all i can say is good luck and i hope i dont have EVER to strip that much out of my car. otherwise i'd be so daunted about putting it back together im sure i wouldnt bother  :lipsrsealed: im a bit jealous that you have the balls to do that much work

all in the name of progress!

Ah don't be a pussy!

Like, the fact that you're stripping out sh*t is progress in my eyes but you don't really appreciate it until you start putting it back together.

had a little present turn up today. Two bulk pack's of 'Superlite' that turns out not to be that light... haha 9.7 kilo's a box, so totalling just under 20 kilo's for two boxes. I think il need another box or so to finish doing everything I want to.  Looking back on it, id probably now not bother with the stuff as its a huge expense I could do with out. But needs must for my long term vision for my audio. I still need to source some mk2 underlay to go back ontop of this.

Scuttle is off and started welding the holes in. getting there slowly.

Lots of filler, sand, filler, sand, filler, sand to be done when it gets to that stage!

hopefully have the engine test fired again next week once all my new battery cables arrive.

Engine is going back in tomorrow for a test run now I have these. Just to make sure I havent f**ked any thing up... Y'know haha.

got to think of something to do with the fuel lines. they look sh!t as they are flapping about in the bay. Any ideas?

Can't u put the fuel lines where the engine loom use to run along bulk head to stop the flapping around.

You complete spazzer.

You've cut your VIN number off.

Not to mention you're putting 20kg of extra weight in for no good reason.  Are you trying to balance out the VR6 weight?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Vin number is safe dont worry! haha, il spot weld that into the boot some where. probably under the carpets on the left or right side.
20 kilos of weight isnt much. Im a bit of a fanny when it comes to audio as im an audio visual engineer by trade, so im just future proofing it for when i get working on my proper sound install.

In terms of the fuel lines, I think they will stay in there standard place, but i am going to get lengths of braided lines and run them from right under neath the car to make them look uniform coming out of the chassis legs.

As my cables arrived i thought id throw the motor back in and test out my loom extensions. Engine runs fine. Good news! Means that now (in short) the only things I have left to do are:

1. Build a rad fan switch system to turn slim lines on and off
2. Put front bumper back on and test lights/turn signals etc (ground front right lighting loom locally or run cable back inside to earthing point)
3. finish dynamating the rest of the car fully.
4. Remove engine
5. Grind back welds, finish new welds.
6. finish taking back all the wax
7.  start prepping bay, filler/sand, filler,sand haha
8. primer and paint.
9.Tidy up sub frames (will be going for shot blast and powder coat along with polybushes in the winter)
10. run brake lines
11. engine back in
12. interior back in
13. Done?????

Ignore my topgun costume. As awesome as it is, they are my new overalls haha
