yes, the xenons are on all the time. I have been wondering if the grill next to the foglight whats behind there and see if i can rebuild some LED type DRLs there.

The drive went fine 10miles. Do have a couple of rattles at ~30mph  but there low in volume. One from the passenger door, the glovebox if its shut and the passenger seatbelt. I had forgot how hard the ride was at 30mph its much harder than the mk5 GTIs. The long throttle pedal had me wondering were the power was

I also keep wondering what those beeps from under the bonnet are when i switch the car off  :undecided: One long one then like a relay click then 2 more beeps

With you on the lomg throttle pedal, mate.. That threw me first of all... Haven't heard any beeps on mine though.. or if there are beeps, they must be very quiet...

They are quiet. from under the bonnet you can only hear them as as you get out. Just seemed odd.

The long throttle pedal gets on my nerves too. Like you Snoops, my other car is a normally aspirated 'old' style GTI which has a very sensitive throttle and torquey engine.
I asked REVO if they could do owt about it when they re-mapped it, but they said it was as sensitive as they could go.
The only option really would be to add one of those 'Sprint Booster' devices that produce full throttle further up the pedal travel. But they are stupidly expensive for what they are. They do the trick though as I've driven a car with one fitted.

The low speed ride is quite hard, but it needs to be I think because of the weight of the car. I really don't think I could live with lowered stiffer springs on a mk6.

My dad knows someone who works at a VW dealer in Oxfordshire and asked him about de-activating the DRLs'. He said he thought it can't be done without going to a dealer so they can play around with the computer or something- he saw it in a recent memo apparently.

Not sure if that's just his way of drumming up new business so just wondered if anyone else had heard the same ?

Guys just search the forum, it's a simple procedure to turn the DRL's off on the MK6.

I stand corrected - my non xenon TDI only has the front DRLs illuminated and not the rear lights. I'm so used to seeing the rear lights come on when unlocking the car i assumed they were on with the engine running too.
