I vote for a FULL re-wire and take pics of your set-up so we can guide you!
Wiring an amp and sub is virtually plug and play! Just have to make sure you Check the correct ohmage of the subs or you get nothing

If you don't want to re-wire;
1) Could the power lead be getting pushed out when sliding the HU in and out?
2) Is your battery strong enough?! (Silly question but easy mistake!)

hey dont really feel that confident to do a full re-wire. :embarassed: gonna change battery this weekend see if that makes any difference. feel like im at a bit of a loose end really. and god knows how much it will cost for an auto elec to look at it.

Where are you based, I know a brilliant auto elec specialist who will come to you house to fix it. My garage use him, as mechanics and electrics don't mix. He's great if you're anywhere near London.
His rates are reasonable too, his call out charge include the first hour.
