Mine has a slight shudder.  Never thought of it as a problem, though.  For one, it is very slight. Like when you forget to depress the clutch (in a manual box) as the car is just about to come to a halt.  I just put it down to the lack of a torque converter.. :undecided:

Might be different to your experience??

The last black cab I was in had an Eaton 5-speed gearbox.

That's a manual.
