sounds like a dodgy mechatronics unit - tell them to check that as its a known problem

also when you next come to a stop keep an eye on the rev counter when the shudder happens - if the revs drop suddenly then shoot up to c1200rpm before settling at 8krpm - you have an issue

amazes me how these vw tech's tie their shoe lases in the morning

You mean 800 rpm if it settles at 8k you really will have a problem

I have a mk6 GTI with DSG and have done 4k miles in it.  Never ever noticed this problem.

(I have noticed the problem with Kev's comments tho! )
Mk6 Golf GTI 5dr, DBP, Monza Shadow, Xenons, ACC, RCD510, Park Assist, Camera, Lux pack.... and now bluetooth.... and now DSG!

Never noticed anything like that with mine either.

I suppose you're absolutely sure it's not the ABS kicking in?

Rolfe.

could the ABS come into play at such a slow speed? I'm not shure, maybee if there faulty eh? Apparently the tech guys down at milton keeynes agree that because nothing shows faulty on diagnostics, and supposedly the shuddering happens on a Tiguan and a Passat CC that the dealers have tried, then it is charachteristic of the DSG box. So because my dealers cant identify a problem, they cant get authorization to replace anything. I saw a friend this morning who has a gti dsg same as mine. He took me for a drive and although he's had trouble with the mechatronics in his box, he certainly has no shuddering when coming to a halt. I'm going to the dealers tomorrow to try these other 2 cars they have with DSG boxes. Should be fun. Could get heated. Watch this space!!
