does anyone out there have a mk6 gti DSG? If so have you noticed a slight shudder when breaking and coming to a gentle stop. I noticed this last friday when i picked the new car up. .

There's no shudder on my Mk5 when coming to a gentle stop.  None.
Same gearbox.
Currently digging a bunker.

My dealer has still got my car as they're investigating the shuddering gearbox. They;ve agreed that there is a problem now after trying a roc with dsg today. I also went to huddersfield on sat to test another gti dsg and found no problem with the box. So now its upto the tech guys at mliton keeynes to decide what to do, perhaps change the mechatronics unit. If that fails to correct the problem then i;ll have to reject the car regretably.

The mechatronics box sits inside the gearbox, a quite daft bit of design.
In the new 7 speed dsg the electronics sit outside the box (i think) and must be a lot easier to fix.

I would reject the car unless you have great faith in UK mechanics.

I've been told today that a new mech unit has been ordered and the exchange does'nt involve dropping the box.  So hopefully they can manage this and hopefully it will solve the problem. It will take 8 to 10 days to arrive so i'll be taking the car back till then.
