There was no text missing,
I was just stating that it is totally awesome power after 4500rpm,
I raced my mate in his 8valve the other day and he was just about with me up until i went past the 4500rpm mark, And then i just left him for dead,
These 16valvers are just way faster than the 8valvers,,

He was probably just producing so much torque the wheels could no longer grip the road. Common 8v problem.

16v torque is higher than the 8v all the way through the rev range :wink:  but this is cancelled out by the significant extra weight of the 16v :sad:  That's why the 8v seems perkier low down.............(he stands back and waits for the usual banter on this topic)

Its about 150kg or something? VW and their heavy cams  :tongue:

Its not just the power thou, sounds good too! Who needs a radio when you can here a valver sing when its floored. :evil: LOVE IT

This is so true, When i am destroying the local 8v drivers i myself often turn the stereo off and just listen 2 the pure power coming from my 16valves,

Miss my 16v so much but i like 8v aswell,would just be nice if i owned a co meter and a timing light to set the damn thing up properly. Cant bring myself to take it to a garage and say "can you set it up as it says in the haynes manual/rubjonnys guide please"
