I have used many products over the years on my paint work by far the best is sealant which gives your car an ultra mirror finish is
Glare Sealant. Easy to put on and easy to rub off. A bit expensive at twenty one pounds but you will be amazed at how your car looks.

Wax wise I found nothing can touch Collinite again you will be amazed what your car will look like with a coat of Glare then a coat of Collinite on top of that. Your car will shine for months by just washing and drying by shami.

It's utter horsefeathers.
There is no reason not to do it immediately. New paint is hard as soon as it's baked.

I've had new paint polished, sealed and even covered in the clear protective film within hours of it being applied and all has been well.

Again, personal choice, I'd not pay for Supaguard and the likes...
However, if you are busy, I would consider paying a professional detailer to do the works with some quality products.

I'm luck I have a mate who does mine...but a man with a DA or rotary polisher will have small inperfections out in minutes and the paintwork given 4 or 5 coats of something a bit special, which will give good protection for months.
I could do it all myself, but I'm too lazy, and besides two of us can do a better job, in a shorter time!
100% Agree

Yes I have been using a shami but can't say I have seen problems with it , the looks like it has just been given a coat of wax. After each use the shami gets washed out so it's clean for the next time.
I have read detailers using drying towels so it's something im going to try myself to see what all the fuss is about.

I use these things:

I was always a shami fan, but these bad-boys are epic!
You need 2 or 3 to completely dry a car...then just wash them.
Easy..., no streaks or bits of leather left, great!

Thank you for all your help and advice.
I have to come clean. I have never washed, polished or hovered a car in my life! This probably makes me a 'bad' man in the eyes of forum members?
However, I am pretty fastidious with the looks, condition and upkeep of my cars. Hope I am now forgiven!

I'm lucky in that I spend five weeks out the country working then five weeks in the country off enabling me the time to pamper the car.
There are great detailers out there who can do it for you if you want it done. At a price of course.

Similar here...
2 weeks away, and 3 weeks at home.
It's not uncommon to wash, wax and clean inside 3 times a week or more...

It helps if you have a garage full of detailing products and a mate who is right into it!

Register on Detailing World...and ask for those local to you to make themselves known.
You'll find examples of their work on there, to help you decide.
