Ok, just to bump this back up! I got it out of the garage earlier and fired it up, it started 1st time without any probs! I really wish I could keep hold of it as well but I can't :cry:

You sure about that? They're the original clocks from the car but with faces from a set of butchered clocks i've got out in the garage still, pretty sure they've got a vw part number on them....can go and check if you like?
