Well the car is still around! Got a text of the guy who bought it earlier saying that it's still running great, he 'sat at 120mph from Glasgow to Carlisle and it didn't miss a beat'

Anyway, when I'm back in Cumbria in a couple of weeks he's going to pop over and pick up a couple of parts including a replacement front splitter
