Well done mate, i was hoping that you got over 120! It's a nice feeling knowing that all your hard work has paid off. Like you i was also a happy Mk3 owner with a 13bhp gain!

Ok, so managed to crack on with the wheels yesterday and today. I sanded down the high build primer with 800grit paper, and gave it a few coats of normal primer on top, this was left over night and this morning I keyed it with 1200 grit paper in prep for colour:

After a couple of thin coats of black and then a few more thicker ones I was left with this:

After the final coat of colour I waited 15mins and gave it a very fine coat of lacquer followed by 3 proper coats of lacquer at 15-20 minute intervals and this is the result:

I let that dry a little then peeled off the masking tape to reveal the lip. I'm aware that I didn't mask it up as well as I could have done, but it will be easier to mask up the painted bits tomorrow and attack the lip again with sand paper to remove any excess paint. Once i've got it all clean again i'll begin the sanding/polishing process to bring it up to a decent shine

And just a couple to show the progress made from how I got them:
