Hanging backbox? Dom, you make me sick. I think I'm suffering from a similar knocking noise though. Since I lowered the car more at lower revs it's rattling a bit, so will have to sort that out soon too.

Exhaust sounds sweet Dom looks nice too Mines a powerflow single exit sounds pretty sweet but thinking of going back to my standard back box think it would look better.

right got a very short Vid, revved to around 2.5k only, sounds not so loud but you can hear the induction kit doing its thang and also my front heat shield rattle when i rev haha

Yeah sounds very similar to mine but a bit more gutsy (also with the heatshield rattle!), it sounds good though! Think i'll almost certainly remove the middle box sometime 

I took mine for a quick drive earlier and the knocking/rattling almost stopped when the engine was hot, I guess it's got something to do with the pipes expanding

No Dom, trust me, I know exactly what you mean. That annoys the hell out of me, mine was the same for the 16v for a few weeks.

It sounds nice to be honest not to loud just dont think it looks great,I do like the tdi style back box might just see if some one fanceys a swap see if anyone makes me an offer.

Yeah I know what you mean, I would only get a twin piped exhaust for a Mk3. I'm sure someone will want to swop, get it up in the classifieds

Ive still got my standard back box which isnt to old as the chap replaced it just before I bought the car.All I need is a standard center box as the cats still on so might be better to get the centre box and sell or p/x for the powerflow.Your twin exit looks far better and neater than the single exit like mine.

If I were you i'd sell the powerflow, get a custom pipe made up to remove the middle box and put your standard backbox on, that way you've got the standard twin pipes with a bit more noise
