Cheers Wayne

However, I went out earlier and it is knocking quite a lot around the middle silencer, possibly on a torsion bar? Also sounds as if it's rattling on something other than a heatshield as well

Means i'm going to have to get it up on some ramps to look at early next week, there's no way i'm doing it with trolley jacks/axle stands again!

I would guess it is hitting the beam, mine was a nightmare to get clearance.

Yeah I think your probably right, which is why I need decent access to it really. Times like these I really wish I had a pit in the garage

Looking good... I thought stainless was always a little quiet until run in?  Roll with it for a while and then mash it up a bit if you're still not happy.

I got it from another forum member so it'll be as loud as it'll ever be. It's a little bit more gutsy lower down the rev range, but when you open it up at 4000rpm upwards it sounds a lot nicer

Tbh i'll probably leave it, I do a lot of motorway driving and the last thing i'll want at the end of the day is a loud booming exhaust for an hour or so up the motorway

Ah right I missed that bit.... doh...  Well as long as it's an improvement and you're happy.  And yes, Motorway driving can be horrid with a loud exhaust.  My previous mk1 used to do my head in on long journeys.  At least you'll know you'll never have to replace it again.

Yeah the backbox is hanging down and the middle box is too high which is why it's knocking. It's going up on the ramps tomorrow afternoon to be corrected

A vid would be wicked, let me weigh up my options
