Ha ha cool....... I've made that mistake before with a switch.. Have you switch the sub because you couldn't be bothered to wire up the remote wire?

Partly :lipsrsealed: I did wire up the remote wire but it was a dodgy connection so the sub was flicking on/off, but also partly because the g/f. I think her words were something along the line of 'don't get me wrong, I like the seat vibrating, just not all the time'

So all in all it seemed like a good idea to just wire in a switch, simple and effective

Yeah its nice and flexible at least... i used to have a sub with a controller, Just a knob where you could adjust the input to the sub from the dash... was very handy as it could be a pain having go to the boot all the the time to adjust levels... hmmm, wonder if stuff like that is still available, i'm sure it must be.

You couldn't have found that yesterday could you

Looks like a much better idea than a toggle switch, why didn't I think of that?! :embarassed:

Well i didnt know you were going to fit a switch.... you can still fit one though, then it will be a super flexible setup.  On off and in dash level adjust.

Good thinking, how would you go about wiring that in then? What would you have to tap it into?

it just goes in between the phono Line out/Sub out from your head unit to the sub.. so all you will need is a short set of phono leads from your stereo to this, then the other connections go from this to the long phono's to your sub.. no power required.. hope that made sense.

I had a really old 10" sub in my mk2 that had one of those adjuster switches

Does the head unit not have a sub on/off option? :undecided: Thought that was why they don't really have hard switches anymore.

Ha, yeah most head units do but you always have to go through a menu to get to it, there's nowt better than having an easy access knob!
