Its been a productive morning
« on: 06 March 2010, 14:19 »
Just finished making my wheel spacers, done two of my spare wheels in Ford Graphite Grey (Awesome colour for wheels), fitted a lil' short shifter thingy and a new bush for my linkage!!!
The wheel spacers bolt to the hub and then the wheel to the spacer so need another set of wheel bolts (Didn't fancy paying £100 for a set of extra long wheel bolts)
I've gone 30mm per side on the back and 25mm per side on the front, might be a lil big but wont know til there on the car next week.
Heres some pics -

The turning was programmed but the holes were drilled and tapped manually, took just over an hour a piece.
My cars Flash red, cant wait to get em on next week, completely standard at the mo and I'm lowering it next week too so should look baaaad!!!!!!!! (Hopefully)

So the adapter is stuck on the car??
Because I'm bolting my adapters to the car, then the wheels to the adapters I used 304 Stainless, its a bit weighty compared to Aluminium but it has a lot better tensile strength to cope witht the load, it wont rust/corrode and wont warp under stress like Aluminium can.
If you want just standard spacers making (The ones you need longer bolts for) I'd do em in Aluminium cos they are literally just a big washer and dont take as much load.
