weird brake fault HELP(pedal down to floor)

HI all, right when i have been on lock a few times say getting out of a parking space i set off then go to brake and the pedal goes to floor,them ok on second application, its like a front wheel bearing is calapsed and pushing the caliper back(check them)

ive PM'd this guy, just waiting on reply, just wondered if anyone had this?

allright mate.same thing has happened to me.cant remember wich lock i put on but its happened to me in the past but not recently.the noise is still there but the brake pedal thing hasnt happened for a while.not wheel bearings as had both of them replaced recently.hope you get to the bottom of it and if you do will you post it so others can see what was wrong.cheers.

Have you had your camblet done lately? What engine code do you have?  I would bet 90% it Wont be master cylinder.

you might find that you have a damaged flexi hose when you put it on a lock hose kinks and forces fluid back up to master cylinder 1 st push on the pedal re primes the caliper and second push is fine

Ok not to worry then should be ok. 

On a lot of mk4 platform cars there is a brake hose that runs alongside the plastic cover that you have to remove to do the cambelt.  I have read lots of threads where people get there cambelt done and the garage bends the hose out of the way and forgets to bend it back where is should be resulting in intermittent brake failure untill the hose is bent back to where it should be.  I dont know too much about this but as said i have read it a few times now.  Apparently the master cylinders are bullet proof
