I'm no REVO fanboy but have it on mine.
I've had re-maps from most of the big names over the years, and a few smaller ones too but the REVO ones have been my favourites.
The one I had on my Polo 1.8t GTI was stunning; perfect power delivery. The one on my mk6 GTI is pretty darned good and hasn't ruined my fuel consumption either.
I know where Snoopy is coming from but I've read horror stories about most re-maps to be honest.

I'm not sure if wigit is a member on here but go have a search for him on mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum and on the Scirocco forums. He's had rolling road sessions with both re-maps and one had a bit of an advantage (I think I'm right that the Scirocco engine is very similar to the Golfs?).

i am sure wigit also noticed that the flash count HAD been going up with each time the map was put on and off - in effect rubbishing the claims that superchips does not effect the flash counter

i wouldnt care if his S3 was quicker because mine looks nicer

are you on drugs?

Why?
Because he prefers the look of the GTI?

So do I...I wouldn't have a current S3 parked on my driveway...the car is bland/boring and I much prefer the look of the Golf (I don't like the image of the Audi owners much either).

 and your nick's "Ess Three"

Each to their own but I was in between buying another Gti or my S3- my sister in law has a candy white gti 6 and everytime we visit I admire both vehicles from a distance- how one can say the s3 is bland and boring  :undecided:sounds a bit like you're staring through "beer goggles" bud  I love the look of the 6 but parked next to the S3 it looks like a MPV! Don't understand why it's build so "Top heavy" for a hot hatch... one wouldn't notice it on it's own but pull it alongside the s3 and all I can say is that the s3 looks race ready and stealth compared to das uber golf... :smug: i don't like the image of BMW and Ford ST drivers either...

Disagree Gabrial, saw an S3 today parked up and had to spot that it wasn't a 1.6 it was so bland. Shame as I'd prefer AWD but I couldn't bear to drive something that looks that dull. However if they do a cracking job with the RS3 I might be tempted.

Just my opinion of course Gabrial and I respect yours.

Looks 'race ready' eh?
Probably the least race ready car I've looked at in the last 15 years, in my mind.
It looks uber bland...typical current Audi. It could be any/every Audi coming towards you, and any A3 even close up.

It also happens to be boring as hell to drive. Almost too efficient…boring, boring, boring…with solid suspension, no steering feel and a dull chassis.

I used to own an 8L S3…when the ‘S’ meant bigger arches, completely different cars…but the current one is just another bland Audi designed to fit into the lifestyle of someone who thinks they are better than everybody else because they have an Audi…and for those reasons I’d not have one parked on my driveway.
I’ll leave those sorts of games to all the saddos that live nearby…

Seems I agree with you...
I could buy a really nice spec S3 for £2000 more than a GTI with the deals they are offering at the moment.
A Golf R would cost me £8,000 more than a GTI. (R in a similar spec to the S3..buckets, sunroof etc)
Personally, I'd rather pay the £8,000 and have a Golf.

The RS3 would need a radical rethink over the S3 to make me interested I'm afraid...they'd need to make it interesting to drive, instead of just fast, for starters.
