i wouldnt care if his S3 was quicker because mine looks nicer

are you on drugs?

Why?
Because he prefers the look of the GTI?

So do I...I wouldn't have a current S3 parked on my driveway...the car is bland/boring and I much prefer the look of the Golf (I don't like the image of the Audi owners much either).

here here S3s are boring

Try and get Snoopy's advice before you decide.
Not a good idea, Im extemely biased as i had a very bad experience with a certain tuners map quite a few years back now so would not touch that company with a barge pole.

All the coments about the S3 looks i do like it from the front theres just something about the A3 from the front i really like. The back im not that keen on and the side is ok in 3 door form.

One thing i would say to anyone getting a remap from any company is book a rolling road session with a diagnostics company, to make sure everything is doing and working as it should be. Or even better get a custom map for your car.

A synopsis from Car Magazine of a CUSTOM remap - "Most chip remaps/conversions are generic and don't take account that over a car's production run its ECU may be changed and the accompanying software codes updated, so one ECU generation could have several different software codes and there could be more than one ECU generation.
It is also worth noting that manufacturers sometimes factor in an ECU reflash as part of a car's service schedule, curing glitches or improving running characterestics. This would wipe any chip upgrades, so the upgrade software needs to be re-installed. You should find out from the dearlership if a reflash was due and was installed.
One company that especially tailors chip conversion/upgrade for each particular car is Abt, based in Leeds. Abt are the German tuners who run Audi's DTM team. The work meets Germany's tough TUV standards and the warranty matches the factory offering.
On a Scirocco 2.0TFSi they acheived 40 bhp and 44 lb ft hikes to 237 bhp and 251 lb ft for power and torque. Installation time 1 hour, Cost £1299." - Ben Barry, Car Magazine, March 2010
