Not a fan of full leather but part leather like in the edition 30 is spot on & more in keeping with a sporty car were i think ''full'' leather is more for a limo type car. Just my thought on it.  :smiley:

Part leather would have been perfect.
One can still have it done by a good trimmer.

Let us know what you find out - thanks. Nearly 2 grand for what a lot of people are saying is sub- standard leather...too much - besides, the jacara cloth is very 'Gti' - but the thought of the cloth with the sides in a good leather...interesting...

I know of a trimmer who has done a few Mercedes Benz cars with full leather for £1200 + VAT.
I wonder how much half leather would cost. The problem for me is the company is quite far from London.
I will do some searches in the next few weeks and PM you with the details. Maybe, for 2 cars, we can negotiate a discount!

Thnx - I'm not one for changing original spec into non-VW, for example, spec but I do like the idea of having some quality leather on the sides of the seats - keep the genuine Gti cloth interior with a touch of 'lux' - it would just give it a bit of a special finish - I think it would look better than full leather - just my opinion, no disrespect intended to those of you who have full leather.

May I kindly suggest this could be a group buy, not necessarily only MKVI's...?

You may get some interest from other bunkers rooms in the forum, from those without standard leather.

Think I already mentioned this.

I hated the leather on my mk5 and love the Jacara on my mk 6.

To those of you thinking about going for the part leather aftermarket thing, have you thought about your warranty and resale?
If it was a free VW option I may have considered it.
My old long dead mk1 would turn in its grave if it knew they were offering leather these days. (And dare I say it... Automatics)
