But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

nice one fella :afro:

about time it was sorted, the missus says she wants me back after spending all this time on Christine.

she had some silly idea of MOT'ing it and selling it on.... NOOOOOOOOONONONOnonooonono!!!

not now its finally on its way.

Next on the list:

-Seal sunroof
-Tidy up engine electrics, grommets where necessary, bind loom cables with self-emalgamating tape as most of the cables are exposed
-Votex style centre console from SWG (supplied with 2 DIN size blanking plates, 1 can be used for fuel pump & starter switches)
-Secure slam panel as some screws/bolts are missing beneath headlights
-Sort out front bumper, N/S is loose
-Trace bad earth as everything is getting about 9 volts, but battery is fine.
-Still need several trim items including sill covers/side skirts and steering column cowling

meh the list goes on!

I don't think a semi will give the same results

spent some times over the last few weekends sorting little niggles, fixed the power problem (the main loom power cable was damaged) so everything gets 12v now and not 10v

also the indicators now flash when alarm is switched on and off, plus got the central locking working off the alarm (as it suddenly stopped working - was a broken wire within the drivers door)

next things are:
- fit new lambda sensor (15mpg anyone?)
- wheel spacers on the rear
- solder all spliced fusebox wires (some are connected with chocolate blocks or crimp connectors)
- clean it!

other than that, it

I think i nice picture of the car on the road would do nicely after all the negatives!

I still havent cleaned the old girl, as ive spent some time actually driving her, but I hope these piccies will do:

my mk2 VR6 and a customers rallye... the charger sounds evil!

and the borbets are 9" on the rear  i want!

we get some things direct but thats mostly retail stuff and consumables (paints etc) rather than spares, which are often supplied by FPS but through another company acting as middlemen (for political reasons i think!)

i will have to pm you with a list!
