Proof! GTD is slower than a GTI!

Have had my gtd remapped with revo and it pisses all over my sales managers mk6 gti. That said gti is fantastic car lovely note to the exhaust.

Your comparing a modified car to a standard ? Race a revo'd GTI then and It'll put your diesel back in its place.

Look at the number of TD cars on the right hand lane in our motorway, you sort of get the idea that most turbo diesel driver think their car got some supernatural acceleration over their petrol equivalent.

or you could consider that most high mileage reps that are rushing to get somewhere all drive diesels.  They may not be racing anybody other than their own deadlines.  Irrespective of what car some people drive, they will always be in lane 3 and always driving faster than others.  It's nothing specifically to do with diesel.

If you just said 'Track' rather than 'Road' I'd mostly agree with you - not boring in my world...square kn*b is a new one though!

Kev - a GTI is faster most of the time but not to the extent you seem to assume (having driven both).  Were you by any chance involved in a childhood accident involving a Diesel DSG Taxi?

I like petrol GTis but, then again, I also like diesel GTs.  There's only one way to solve it...
