Hmmm - it's going back on Monday..

1) the mic keeps falling down
2) it keeps telling me " new telephone book available " even though there isn't
3) it keeps telling me it's downloading the phonebook even though it's present on the highline.
4) when these things happen, no sound comes out - even though the iPhone is playing
5) it shuts the system down and gives a blank screen where I can't access anything
6 ) when I press 'phone' it says " system starting" for about 2 minutes

Something is clearly not right....

Sounds easier just not to use the phone when driving, saves money too.

Doesn't sound good, I had pretty much decided on the Mobridge over Fiscon... What iphone have you got? Was it working fine at first?

I went with Fiscon - tried and tested by loads of people on here.
Its currently sitting in a box under my computer desk with my RNS510 - waiting for my car to come!!

That doesn't sound good. On paper, the mObridge looks to be the better system, but if it's unreliable in practice, I will go for the Fiscon, which as pointed out by some else is tried and tested.

I have a 3Gs

I'm assuming it's either an installation problem or a fault with the unit. It all worked perfectly when I picked the car up and these "errors" don't happen everytime. The "new telephone book available " has happened since day one but the other things have only happened since yesterday.

For example, I wanted to call someone so I pressed the phonebook button on the screen, then pressed the search, then started typing in the name. After 3 letters, it threw me out and when I went back into the phonebook, it said " no phone book available. There is no phone connected ". But when I went into the highline, the phonebook was there...

Baffled....

Could it be more to do with the connection between the phone and the box? i.e. interference with the bluetooth.

Just thinking, perhaps it needs a firmware update?

A lot of places wouldn't do it, or even think to do it, and if it's old stock...

Do you know which version it has installed?

I noticed in one of your earlier posts that you get the message "new telephone book available" when connecting. I get the same with iPhone 3GS, Fiscon and RCD510. Does your unit display a full call list, including calls made/received when not connected to MoBridge?
