One premium feature which the VW kit has that neither the Fiscon nor the MoBridge has is voice command.  This means it is much much safer for drivers to use to the phone.

It also means that there is one button that neither kit uses and that is the little mic button on the left of the MFSW.

MoBridge therefore is not accurate when it says it has the same functionality of the VW kit.  If you look at the pdf, there is no reference to the mic button nor voice activated control at all.

All said though, it depends on how much you value voice activated controls for your phone versus the ability to pair more than just rSAP phones.

I posted that mobridge has the same functionality as OE and I stand correct.
So, when all said and done the best choice for someone who owns a blackberry is Mobridge.
As a blackberry owner, that's the point..(VW missed a trick here) but each to their own....

My thoughts exactly, I just need some info about what needs doing with the VAG-COMM as I`m friends with my local indie, and he`ll code it no problem for me as long as I know what needs doing.

I'm sure I have already posted they details but here it is again.

Enable telephone 77 on the CAN gateway.

Ah, musta missed it....thanks

I'd just like to thank my local council for doing bugger all with the £1800 council tax I pay them every year....

  +1

Looking forward to your thoughts on the mobridge.

ah - the manual says the iphone isn't supported for SMS

The Fiscon does though doesn't it?

Yes the Fiscon read my SMS when I first installed it but the memory seems to be full on the Fiscon unit or something similar as it is displaying a SMS from around Christmas time as my last one.

I think it all depends on the phone.

I think even the Fiscon won't read iPhone text messages - it's the phone, rather than the Bluetooth handsfree, afaik.

Thanks for the info, Damian. :)

Doesn't sound good, I had pretty much decided on the Mobridge over Fiscon... What iphone have you got? Was it working fine at first?
