Fiscon Bluetooth
« on: 07 January 2010, 13:14 »
Can any one tell me what buttons on the MFSW work with the FISCON Plus Bluetooth Kit, ie:- To answer a call do you press the OK button or the button with picture of phone on it or will either answer a call ??

Thinking of getting this to work with RNS510 but was sure how it intergrates with MFSW.

The button with the phone on it is not used at all. The OK button is used to answer calls.

I have only used mine a few times but the quality of the call is great.

So the button with the picture of phone on it Does nothing then ?? I presume this only works with a OEM VW Bluetooth Unit ?

Despite being here for a while, FISCON has only just arrived on my radar screen. What's wrong with VW's own OEM phone preparation that makes getting FISCON necessary? Please can some patient forum member explain. Given the number of people getting FISCON, it seems that VW's own is really sub-standard. If that's the case, then you'd think that VW UK would do something about it. BMWs, Mercs and Audis all work fine with standard phone preparation AFAIK.

If you cannot use all the Buttons available on the MFSW sounds like the Fiscon unit is the one that's substandard to me  ??

Maybe it's the price of a OEM VW Unit ??

Does the OEM phone preparation work with an iPhone? I.e. is the iPhone rSAP-enabled?

Sounds like VW Cocked up by making bluetooth units that are only compatable with a minority of mobile phones, Especially the Iphone ??

Seems crazy VW actually put a MDI port in to control an ipod / iphone yet their own bluetooth doesn't work with the itouch!!  Bizarre.
