Cheers for the comments guys

Yes the AMC has pretty much agreed that its his fault, and the fact that I took pictures definately helps. So hopefully will double up as some helpful advice for anyone else in a situation like this... I would always take pictures despite the gent admitting (kind of) that it was his fault. You never know when they are going to change their mind.

No witnesses Hurdy (well there were loads) as lots of mums in 4x4's were on their school run so there was no chance of them braving the cold weather

Not hurt at all tbh, and wont be going down the blame/claim route as its just not right imo.

Eggy... again talking rubbish. Speeding up and driving head on into a railing and kerb??? yeah great idea pal

Sorry to hear !!!
Thank God nobody got hurt especially with "these days"...

Besides a 100 percent repair I always buy myself something "extra" to ease the pain...so in the end I end up better...I know an evil advice.....

Feel for you.

At least you've got the R for the snowy conditions!

Hopefully it'll be resolved hassle free. Have a good Christmas.

Just a quick question, what were the side airbags like, did they deploy ?

That really sucks... especially a week before Christmas.
At least no one was hurt and guy is admitting liability - so your insurance won't get bumped for it.
Hopefully the horrid weather will have gone by the time you get it back - all shiney and new again!
Golf R... 3 door, DSG, Leather, Reflex Silver, Black 19" Talladega Wheels, ACC, Parking Sensors, RNS510 with Dynaudio, Reverse Camera, Luxury Pack, Cruise Control & Fiscon Bluetooth.
