Question: Im not sure if i asked this already  :embarassed: (looking at ways to get the car quicker :wink: )

Car delivery to you by transporter? What sort of cost is it?

just a guide, £60 + £1 per mile round trip, so if you lived 100 miles away, £260.

Its 231.58miles according to multimap if that helps.

Make them pay? Im expecting a phone call from VWcs within the hour so i may bring that up with them. As i have not said the C word to them yet :wink:

Got the invoice now :smiley: and a quote for delivery,

£110 for the dealer to deliver it on a transporter, (free to get a bloke to drive it (i don't think so!)) not too bad really for transporter delivery if they got the post code right.

The next thing is how to approach it with VWcs/the dealer on the phone to try and get transporter delivery free?

Any suggestions from you guys who got compo how to approach it?

The Cars been listed as been registed on the 26th so a week today. :huh:

Why can't you pick it up?  Is it just a time thing?
If it is just time then chill, pick it up from the dealer and enjoy.
You need to fully inspect the car which is easier to do at the dealers and you will probably enjoy the experience more than having it delivered like some cheap ebay purchase.

240 mile trip there and then 240miles back, getting time off work, arranging for someone to go with me etc is the problem. I also wonder if i really want to meet them.

Don't know about others on here but my collection experience was brilliant.
