Hey mate- great news re your motor at last ! My silver lady had 8 miles on the clock when I picked her up on Saturday... Now it's nearer 300...

Btw, being the complete numpty I am, I can't seem to de-activate the xenon daytime running lights by doing the left turn pulling the stalk thingy.. I know there's a thread on here but I wondered if the font of all knowledge, Snoopy, had any ideas what I was doing wrong?

Deactivating the daylight running lights - Page 62 Mk6 manual

1)Light switch to 0,
2)Move the turn signal/main beam lever both down and to the rear (left-hand indicator and headlight flash) at the same time and hold it in this position.
3)Turn the ignition on for 3 seconds and then switch it off again.

Yep- saw that but for some reason is doesn't do the trick.. Wayside have told me they won't help because it's a health and safety feature even though it's not law in the UK...

what do we reckon about running in period? 500 miles at less than 3000 revs?
