No blue ones yet, as initially Rising Blue was not available to order in Germany.

I ask the question again then... why spend £3080 on seats and miss out the £550 wheels?!?!?  :laugh:

I remember the rising blue thing.  It was odd because I got the Frankfurt Golf R brochure and it had rising blue as an option, and then it didn't appear on the website.  I wonder if that because for any other colour they could use an existing Golf chassis - but they'd never made a Golf in rising blue?
Hopefully there will be a silver one with black wheels on that site soon!

Maybe he's going to put different wheels on it. I've done this before - specified lots of goodies except wheels then had to explain to the dealer why.

If I was going to do this I'd still spec the wheels, then sell them.  I bet you'd get more than £550 more for the 19" R wheels than the 18" ones... especially as they'll be in high demand just now.

looks  :cool:

it does look like they have fitted the std gti leather seats then swapped the headrest over... leather definately not matching in those pics! .... and at the price thats the least I would hope to have to worry about.

I think whoever took the interior photos was bleezing!  They're all out of proportion.  Looks like the headrest in that photo is pointing in such an odd angle that the flash has made it a totally different colour.

Heard on German forum that the first Golf R test has appeared in the German motor press. Keep an eye on this web site:

They already have a Scirocco R review.
