Blue with black though... I'm not 100% convinced.  The photoshop efforts all look good - but then you have to remember that the press photos are the cars shot in ideal lighting conditions etc.  In real life the car will probably look much darker blue (like the Scirocco I see going around all the time!).

Thanks for sowing fresh seeds of doubt in my mind about the blue/black combo.

I've seen "real" photos of Mk4/5 R32s in Deep Blue Pearl with black alloys and think they look good. To be fair, any dark coloured car only looks good when it's clean. And dark alloys can only exacerbate that.

I'll probably stick with the black alloys... can always swap for silver if I really don't like them.

I think the black wheels work best with white, silver, grey and darker colours, not red the blues; whereas the silver wheels work well with everything. Titanium wheels would be fine, but black is just too bling for me.

Personally, I prefer the optional multi-spoke wheels you could specify for the R32 to the Audi / Porsche lookalikes that come with the R. As things stand, I will order 19" silver alloys for my R.
Golf R - almost on order - 5-door, DSG, Rising Blue, leather, 19" alloys, RNS510 with Dynaudio, ACC, Sunroof, Parking camera and sensors, luxury pack and cruise control.

I have a Google News Alert set up. :nerd:

can't be long now before some uk reviews hit the press  :nerd:

Hopefully, they are test driving them over the next few weeks in the UK. Going on the latest weather forecasts, they should have some proper winter conditions to test the 4WD.

I guess reviews will be in newsagents mid-Jan 2010.

Are our UK xenons going to have the dynamic cornering function?  I was reading about it on something yesterday - but its probably like park assist - in that we won't get it!

Think so. The Mk6 GTI xenons have dynamic cornering AFAIK.

I'm not with you?

If you have 18's then you get the same 'silver' Xenons as normal GTi etc, but if you opt for 19's you get 'black' look Xenons?

Why?
