I like it in black - but I can't help feeling it looks a bit 'ordinary' as all the styling kind of disappears.
Those seats are quality though... but I could never justify £3000 on them.
I actually phoned my dealer and added normal leather today - and to be honest I can't really justify £1700 on them... but I have a horrible feeling the standard cloth seats with the light grey bolsters would get ruined very quickly.
Golf R... 3 door, DSG, Leather, Reflex Silver, Black 19" Talladega Wheels, ACC, Parking Sensors, RNS510 with Dynaudio, Reverse Camera, Luxury Pack, Cruise Control & Fiscon Bluetooth.

Thanks for those pics, now I know for sure I´m gonna get it in Blue. Last week I went to a Racing Track here in Madrid and they had an R exposed. The Recaro seats looks nice but it is kind of difficult to sit on them properly. Because of it you could see plenty of marks on the leather sides, they are too high and peolple always sit on them instead of sitting on the center part. That´s way I´m ordering mine with leather.

That link was posted about 3 pages back!
I want to find a silver one with black rims - so I can see what mine will look like.
Its a bit scary ordering a car when you've never seen it in the colour you want.  OK, there are thousands of silver Golf's going about - but I've never seen a silver Golf R!

Yeah - I'm waiting for photos of 5 Door, Rising Blue with 19" Black Alloys. Still not 100% on the black alloys.

I wouldn´t go for the Black Alloy, if you want pictures of a blue one, 5 doors, and silver alloy.. I do have some from last week on the reck.

Thanks ... there are pictures of a 5 door, Rising Blue, 19" silver alloys on page 3 of this thread.

I've photoshopped black wheels onto a 3 door and I like alot:

Though keeping black wheels looking clean could be difficult!

There's a list of all Golf Rs for sale at dealers here:

Wow - theres one on there for over 48,000 euros!

I'm with you on the black alloys too.  I think my silver one will look good - as the white one looks good and silver is just a few shades away from white!
Blue with black though... I'm not 100% convinced.  The photoshop efforts all look good - but then you have to remember that the press photos are the cars shot in ideal lighting conditions etc.  In real life the car will probably look much darker blue (like the Scirocco I see going around all the time!).
I spoke to an Audi dealer MONTHS ago about an S3 and a guy on the Audi forums had a custom colour called Suzuka Grey.  The dealer told me about how it looked amazing when they went to the RS4 launch in Germany as Audi had one of their showroom cars in Suzuka Grey.  They were so taken with it, they ordered one in as a demo a few months later - and it looked just like primer!  The Audi showroom in Germany had the lights all geared up to make it look amazing - but in the Scottish dull weather - it looked poop!
The motto behind the story above is don't trust what you see in a photo!!
