Boost Gauge Fitted - sorted! 27PSI anyone?

Had a couple of hours to spare this afternoon so thought it best to get around to fitting the Newsouth Boost Gauge I bought the other week

However I didn't buy a standard off the shelf pod as a) not a fan b) some are more expensive than the gauge itself! 

My initial idea was to replace the drivers vent with a normal standard one.  Started taking things apart and then thought it might look a bit rubbish not having the vent light up so I started modifying my current bora vent to make the gauge fit

I'll take some more pictures in the daylight but here's a couple for now





Need to plumb it in the bay but I didn't have anything suitable to blank off the 'no buzz t piece so I'll hopefully find something in work

it needed a fair bit of trimming lol

I removed all the vent bits; slats etc; then I a bit out where the bottom adjuster is and did the same right through the vent so the gauge sort of sits 'in' the vent

also then realised I had to drill a hole into the vent recess as there's no way of running the boost line in there lol

I'll try and take some pictures in the daylight tomorrow to show how I modded the vent

I'll be plumbing it in tomorrow lunch time - literally only got to screw in the take off and blank off the t piece - I've already routed the boost line into the bay via the wing
